LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS
  • Business Plans

A bespoke business plan, written just for you

A business plan should do more than sound convincing. It should show that the idea has been researched, the numbers have been considered and the person behind it understands what needs to happen next.

Business plans are often treated as something produced for a bank, grant application or investor and then forgotten. That misses the point.

A good plan helps you test whether the business works before committing too much time or money. It connects the market, pricing, sales, costs, operations and funding requirement, exposing gaps that are easy to overlook when each subject is considered separately.

  • Why do you need a business plan?

You may be applying for finance, approaching an investor, submitting a grant application, planning a social enterprise or preparing to launch. You may simply need to get the idea out of your head and see whether it makes sense on paper.
The purpose affects what the plan needs to contain, how much evidence is required and where the emphasis should sit.

We build the document around that purpose rather than forcing every business into the same template.

    Business plans written with you

We can write a complete plan from the beginning, but it will never be written in isolation. We ask the questions,
carry out or guide the necessary research, challenge weak assumptions and bring the information together into a clear, persuasive document.

The plan remains yours. It should sound credible, reflect the business accurately and be something you understand well
    enough to discuss confidently.

    Business plans and financial forecasts

We can write a complete business plan for you, strengthen an existing draft or help you build realistic cash flow, sales
and profit forecasts. The finished work can support your own decision making as well as conversations with lenders, investors and funders.

Financial forecasts need to connect withthe way the business will actually operate. We calculate start-up
costs, expected sales, direct costs, overheads, cash movements and the point at which the business may become sustainable.

We do not make the figures look attractive for the sake of it. Optimistic forecasts that collapse under one sensible
question are not useful. The aim is to produce assumptions you can explain and numbers you can use.

    How we build your plan

We begin by understanding the business, the audience for the plan and the work already completed. We then agree what research, financial information and supporting evidence are needed.

Drafts are developed with your input, so factual details and decisions remain accurate. You receive a professionally
structured plan and the supporting forecasts agreed as part of the work.

Already have a plan? Let us strengthen it.

If you have a business plan already, we can review its structure, evidence, clarity and financial logic. We will identify missing information and areas a lender or funder is likely to question, then help you improve them.
